Universal Sheave Block & Overhanging Socket

The universal sheave block with overhanging socket permits cable pulls upward, downward, or sideways without the use of snatch blocks. The complete assembly consists of a specially designed sheave with two square shanks which lock into the overhanging socket fastened to the rear of the truck body floor.

When an upward pull is desired, the bottom shank is locked in the socket. For a sidewise pull, the side shank is used. The removable lock pin which is attached to the socket with a chain, is used to lock the sheave in the socket. Universal Sheave Block.
